Frances and John met in New Orleans where
she was attending Tulane University and John was in the Navy.
Frances has been a teacher, teaching variations of English, Teaching English
as a Second Language and Business Communications and Culture.
She has spent time recently on academic assessment projects
at Oklahoma State
University.
John has worked in electronics, first in
the navy and later in broadcast engineering and
communications, and educational technology, distance learning
for medical media. John has finished his degree in Educational
Psychology and
Instructional
Design,
and has been creating web materials of various types.
Both are deeply interested in
intercultural affairs in communications and education. Frances
spent some time in El Salvador and both of us have made two
trips
to
Europe
for a conference and a wedding anniversary.
We are strong supporters of Hogar
Infantil,
an orphanage in Chiapas, Mexico (Southern Mexico) where
they spent some time teaching and working with the children
many years ago. Read
